DC area moving company Craig Van Lines is proud to announce its eighth year sponsoring and coaching the Grizzlies Youth Football team, part of the Gainesville Haymarket Youth Football League (GHYFL). The sponsorship and volunteering brings Craig Van Lines closer to the community and helps to give something back to the people that have made Craig Van Lines the local business fixture that it is.

The Gainesville Haymarket Youth Football League (GHYFL) began in 1999 and is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a character building program for both boys and girls. Craig Van Lines began its work with the Grizzlies back in 2006. The company had recently developed a new facility in Gainesville and wanted to quickly become part of the community.

By sponsoring and coaching the Grizzlies Craig Van Lines develops a much stronger connection to the local area. Fred Craig, Owner of Craig Van Lines, said, “This organization is a very special part of the community and does great work with the boys and girls of Gainesville and Haymarket.” According to the GHYFL website, the organization does much more for the kids than offer football: “Through fundamental instructions associated with youth tackle football and cheerleading we expect to foster and maintain the core values of Honesty, Loyalty, Integrity, Discipline, Respect, Sportsmanship and Commitment to be the highest standards associated with achievement, both athletic and academic.”

Fred C. Craig III is the owner of Craig Van Lines, a Northern Virginia moving company his family has run for more than a century. The business began in 1918 when J.H. Craig hauled cattle, feed, and hay from Virginia’s rural farms to the markets of the DC area.
